King Salmon (Chinook)
The largest salmon in Alaska and one of the most sought-after fish on the Kenai Peninsula.
King salmon trips are typically more patient and methodical. It’s not always fast action, but the reward is the chance to hook into one of the most powerful fish Alaska has to offer.
When available, these trips are primarily run on the Kasilof River.
Sockeye Salmon (Red Salmon)
Kenai River sockeye fishing is one of the most popular fisheries in Alaska, known for consistent action during peak runs.
These trips are active and hands-on, with steady opportunities when the fish are in. Sockeye are also some of the best eating salmon Alaska has to offer.
Silver Salmon (Coho)
Aggressive, hard-fighting, and exciting to catch.
Silver salmon are aggressive, hard-fighting, and one of the most exciting fish to target on the Kenai River later in the season. These trips often provide consistent action and opportunities to catch bright, powerful fish.
Trout Fishing
Kenai River trout fishing can be productive all season, but it really shines from mid-August through mid-October. As salmon begin to spawn, large rainbow trout move in to feed, creating the opportunity to target some truly impressive fish.
Trips are typically fished from the boat and are a great option for anglers looking to target bigger trout. I guide both fly fishing and spin fishing depending on what you’re most comfortable with.
Multi-Species Opportunities
Depending on the season and river conditions, some trips can include opportunities to target more than one species in a single day.

Kenai & Kasilof Rivers
Trips are primarily run on the Kenai River throughout the season.
During king salmon season, trips are run on the Kasilof River, as king fishing on the Kenai River is currently closed.
As the season progresses into mid-July and beyond, the focus shifts to sockeye and silver salmon on the Kenai River depending on conditions.
The goal is always to fish the river that provides the best opportunity for a successful and enjoyable day.
Full Day Trip (8 Hours)
The best option for anglers who want the full Kenai River experience with maximum time and flexibility on the water.
Three-Quarter Day Trip (6 Hours) – Most Popular
Our most popular trip. Enough time to fully experience the river while still keeping the day flexible.
Half Day Trip (4 Hours)
A shorter, flexible trip that’s great for families, beginners, or anyone wanting a few productive hours on the water.
